Jerry Levine along with his sons and dad crushed the schoolie bass in the afternoon hours. The bite was very intense and started on the surface. Just before sundown, the jigs were outfishing the topwater plugs. There are loads of fish in the western sound and it looks like they are going to be around for quite some time! |

Chris Defeo and John got in on incredible fly bite and ended up with over 30 stripers (all on the fly). The fish remain very thick and are feeding like mad on peanut bunker. The bass bite this season contniues to be the finest topwater striper action in many, many years. |

Damon Leong and his son Chris got in on a red hot Blackfish bite that included fish to 9lbs! They followed it up with some awesome striper action both on topwater plugs and diamond jigs (with teasers). The western sound is loaded with peanut bunker, monster blues, and tons of bass. This is one of the best fall runs we have seen in many years and should only get better. |

Marc Childs crushed the stripers and big bluefish both on diamond jigs and topwater plugs. He fished solo and had too many fish to count. The bite never stopped and it looks like the biggest bass are mixed in with the bluefish. He had several keeper stripers mixed in. As usual, he released them all! |

Capt Andy spent the day with Capt John Marino and Capt Rich Tenreiro filming an episode for Northeast Angling TV. They fished some of the many blueifsh/bass blitzes that are occurring from Sands Point to Eatons Neck. There are so many schools that it is important for anglers to choose the right one...with the biggest fish! |

What a difference a day makes! Tuesday night was a bit of a battle, but the fish really turned on last night. Kirk Palmer, along with daughter Emily, and friends Suan and Sarah got into an amazing bluefish plugging bite that included fish up to 14lbs! The bite lasted right to sunset and they caught way too many fish to count. |

This is our weekly update...the morning bluefish bite continues to be amazing and fish can be caught on either the fly, with bait, by plugging, or trolling. It is the best fly bite we have seen in 30 years! Capt Joby has an excellent evening bite with both keeper bass and bluefish. The bite has improved dramatically in the last few days. |

The bluefish bite is simply amazing! Marc Childs was out solo today with Capt Andy and he caught bluefish to 13lbs in every possible way including jigging, trolling, plugging, and on the fly. There are more bluefish on the North Shore now than there has been in many, many years! |
